What comes to your mind when you hear „creative-workshop”? For us, it's community development programmes to promote traditional and creative industries and crafts. We have knowledge, a vision and the commitment to create, and are looking for partners tod o these together. We are open to learning from each other and always looking for new techniques to learn and master them. When we designed ART-Tér, we have made the whole building part to fulfill this goal. The community space and the café are also suitable for creative workshops, be they dance, music or arts and crafts. The basement area, on the other hand, is intended for activities requiring more space and machinery. This is where the carpentry, woodcarving, upholstery, furniture making and sewing workshops will be located.
What exactly are we collecting for to form the workshops?
We are collecting 450.000Ft for the raw materials for the prefabricated concrete (gravel, cement, rebar).
The workshops will be located in the basement of the ART-Tér. Currently, there is a high quality, basement under the whole building, the windows of which have already been replaced. However, the biggest work for the conversion of the basement part is the deepening of the basement, the insulation of the subfloor and the construction of the heating and the restroom. We are collecting donations for these activity:
Concreting the deepened part of the basement. We need gravel, cement and a concrete grid to pour the concrete. All this for 150m2 and in two layers (first the precast concrete, second the foundation concrete)
The heating of the basement (underfloor heating) must be installed, for which insulating material and a special plastic pipe for the heating itself are needed
The entire basement floor must be covered, which requires floor levelling, tiles, adhesive and grouting
To build the toilets, we need masonry bricks, masonry material and tiling, for which we need tiles and grout. And, of course, the sinks, tiles and taps, doors and vents
The entrance to the basement needs to be widened and a custom-made wide entrance door made to allow easy access for larger furniture or musical instruments and sound equipment
